This does not bode well

I finally feel like I can leave the house..I've only been 'ready' since about 8:00...and I need to stop @ the ATM (those pesky tolls in Texas).

I wait my turn in the drive-thru ATM...alas the error is...cannot process this transaction.

WHAT!?!?

And yes, I KNOW there is money available :)

I walk inside the bank...the line is out the door...sheesh. Turns out the ATM is broken. Nice.

So, I'm waiting in line. I can only imagine that there is a reason we're not going to hit the interstate before 11:00...of course that means we won't reach our destination until after 11pm. And now there really won't be much time for the random, silly stops. :(

Oh well. Getting excited to spend time with these two.

Random observation - they're playing 'Sing-A-Song' in the bank...the good accapella version - not the one by Accapella.

Day 1

Today has not gotten off to the best start. Ok...let's be honest...we haven't even left. In fact...I am still at my house. :(

I got enough sleep last night - (not plenty, but enough). The car is packed, the house clean, trash out, dishes done, plants watered, etc. But I have not been feeling well. :(

I know Spencer & Katie are ready & waiting...and I'm sure impatiently waiting. I am feeling a bit better & am hoping to hit the road shortly. *sigh*

This is never a good thing...especially in light of the 12+ hour drive ahead of us.

The night before

I still need to pack. And print out all the directions. And choose which random places of interest we might stop in to see, which might make it less random, but you get idea. The kitchen needs a once - including cleaning out the fridge. I hate leaving the house a mess b/c that means a mess will greet me when I return.

With so much to do before I get to bed you would think that I might be at home working on my to-do list. Ha! You don't know me very well :) I am hanging out in dowtown Seville with some wonderful friends, listening to some music. I love these people and am going to miss them while I'm gone.

As of right now the count at the house will be 19 people. Although...I discovered that my mom, sister & 5 year old niece will also be coming for a few days. That's 22 people. Oh...and...then there's some of my cousin's employees will be there too....hahaha...this is going to be interesting :)

The only plan we have right now is to load up & head out super early. I told Katie & Spencer to be ready at 6:30...I doubt that will happen. I do want to try to stop in NOLA @ Cafe du Monde - Katie's never been & I'll probably need a little break after 3 hrs of driving.

There's no set schedule - I definitely want to get there - but we're in no specific rush. I want us to enjoy the trip & play it by ear.
